I used Berna B's to cater 2 events over the July 4th Holiday weekend, to celebrate 2 special family events. They did a box lunch for a picnic, and the sandwiches and salads were amazing. The second event was a catered brunch. The menu was incredible and everyone commented that the food was spectacular. Working with them was wonderful and if I ever need something catered in Grand Junction I will definately use Berna B's

Great breakfast with a smaller cafe atmosphere.

I can't say enough about my experience at Berna B's. Jim and Berna have always made me feel as if I were a guest in their home. Every time I go there to eat they remember my name and take the time to visit with me. In addition to the quaint environment, the food is amazing!!! I highly recommend their breakfast burrito. It is the best breakfast burrito I have ever had and the green chili will get you hooked for life. Overall: the service was top notch; the environment was quite, clean and inviting; and the food is straight out of your Grandmother's kitchen. You will not be disappointed!!

We ate at Berna B's for breakfast. We all had the chili rellanos special, which was super tasty! A lot of food for the price! We will go back!

My foodie family comes down from Denver every other month or so, and every visit we all go to Berna B's. My father, the triathlete, usually gets the Palo Skillet. My mother enjoys the peach pecan French toast. My brother, on a strict gluten free diet, loves the coconut waffles! And my personal favorite is the delectable, the sweet, the savory, stuffed cream cheese strawberry French toast. OMehGawsh! It is so dang good. I ate all of it, and I feel no shame in saying that. And I'd do it again too! ;-) It's also notable to say that Berna's serves an impressive selection of gluten free breakfast options. Any of their specials can be prepared gluten free! They have cocoanut flour waffles, pancakes, and toast. There is no other breakfast place in grand junction that serves that wide of a selection. Make Berna B's your breakfast sweet spot! And check them out for lunch as well ;-).

I wish I had some positive things to say about this clearly family-owned and run establishment. But I'm just not sure why this place has such good reviews - perhaps lunch is more impressive than Sunday Brunch? Drove through Grand Junction on our way home to Denver and visited Berna B's. The service was a little... awkward - our waitress wasn't particularly friendly and seemed like she was just anxiously passing time until her next smoke break. The buffet was far from fresh and could only be considered homemade only if you live inside a Sysco warehouse. Would have been better off at Golden Corral. Big ole MEH.

Staff was extremely rude. We waited to be seated for at least 10 minutes and it was not even busy. This place used to be great food and atmosphere. Will never go back after being treated so poorly. What a shame how a business can be ruined by uncaring, rude employees. I work in hospitality industry and have recommended Berna B's numerous times, but never again.

Great restaurant and great service. They really seem to care. Don't miss Sunday Brunch! Awesome. Small place, locals only simply because of location. Worth going out of your way for.

Jim and his staff have been great for us. He has made every event we've done go off without a hitch with both great food and wonderful service. If you need to have an event catered, Berna B's is the place to do so.

I have had breakfast at Berna B's twice now and its been great both times. The first time I had the breakfast burritos which are huge!! It was served with a large roasted pepper too which was delicious. The second time I went, I had the breakfast buffet, which had a good selection, and just unbelievable homemade chocolate chip cookies.

I received a personal invitation from the owner to come try his restaurant and review it. Wow, that's gutsy. I mean, I'm pretty honest in my reviews and if I don't like it, I'm gonna tell the yelp world. So, I gave it a shot. Very good! Typical cafe food & menu. I had the chili rellenos, eggs & hashbrowns. Way more food than I should have eaten, but I completely cleaned my plate. Rellenos were spicy, but very tasty. Waitress told me they make them in-house. No idea if they do, but they were still good. The only downside is it's quite a bit out of the way (at least for me) and a bit of a challenge to find. Thanks for the invite!

Fantastic catered dinner, thanks! A delicious dinner for 10 was delivered to our door and it was well done! Everything was warm and had all the details covered. It made our little dinner party easy and delicious!

I went with my daughter on Sunday. She wanted lunch so we waited till after 11. We we're gruffly seated (not greeted) by the hostess. My daughter settled on the BLTA, A for avocado, and she really liked it. I had a taste and it was excellent. I asked the waitress for help and ended up ordering the fried chicken, which was mediocre at best; just plain chicken plopped in a deep fryer. Our charming waitress had a strong southern accent so I assumed she would know good fried chicken, but I was wrong. The bathroom was poorly lit and not all that clean. The manager or owner goes from table to table trying to engage each customer in conversation, which I absolutely cannot stand. He should be forced to watch the episode of the "The Sopranos" where Artie Bucco does nothing but chase customers away doing the same thing. I'll probably return with my daughter because she liked the place so much, but will go with a sandwich next time. As far as the atmosphere here goes I would call it mid 80's rural midwestern. Overalls and trucker hats are the proper attire. The average age of their clientele is somewhere in between 70 and "passed away several years back."

Absolutely amazing! Great food, friendly people, and it is locally owned!! You cant go wrong with the biscuits and gravy, it is my favorite.

Great, local, homemade food. Friendly staff. Extensive and tasty gluten-free options. Those are just a few of the incomplete sentences I could write about what has become my and my lady lover's favorite Grand Junction diner! Berna B's puts their unique spin on their dishes, too, which raises them several notches above typical fare. Their Reuben, for one example, features a curried sauerkraut that adds zest and savoriness to an old favorite. Their breakfasts are amazing and varied. They've just changed up their menu, too, so if it's been awhile, it's time to come back. Great place, good food and good people! (Another incomplete, but enthusiastic, sentence.)
